Current Three

Many times in the past I have enjoyed making lists of things that I currently love and dislike. I appreciate looking back and seeing what occupied my life and my mind, so I’m going to attempt to make these lists on a regular basis. I am hoping that I can create this list weekly, but don’t hold me to that, we shall see what happens.

Here are my Current Three….. a mix of three things that I either love or really dislike.

1. Eating Cereal for Breakfast (love)

During the school year, I would always take a cereal bar to work with me. Now that I have a bit more time, I get to eat legit cereal everyday and I’m loving it. I actually crave cereal ALL the time and have to be disciplined in only eating it for breakfast.

2. The Four Loves by C.S. Lewis (love)

I am only 20 pages into the book but have already learned a lot about the different types of love. As is usual with any Lewis book, I can only read about five pages at a time before I have to stop and process. He’s brilliant, but he sure packs a lot into every single sentence. I am looking forward to learning more about the types of love, how to love, the relationship between God and love, and what love should look like in my life.

3. Time (love)

Since I no longer have to work everyday, and since I am currently taking a break from some other busy things in my life, I have actually had time to do a lot of reading, writing and processing. I have found that I am much happier when I’m doing these things on a daily basis. I hope to find a way, even when my life gets crazy again in the fall, to practice these things that are important to me.

So all three things were loves today, but I’m sure I’ll have some dislikes in the future.
